Unit 5 is a small cosy number, even if a little dated. You will be very happy with its adequate appointments including a cute outdoor sitting area perfect for street watching and alfresco meals. It is located with walking distance of all the cafes south terrace has to offer and also South Beach.
We stayed for 2 nights and only left due to inadequate internet services. Whilst the property manager advertises the unit/s as having internet, the reality is unit 5 relies on being able to use the internet from the unit above. We were unable to run our business, send emails, use streaming platforms or open webpages. A telstra ping test taken in the apartment revealed download range speeds of 3mbps & 12mbps and 0.4 upload speed with mobile phone 4g ping test revealing speeds of 1.9mbps download and 0.3 upload. Though we did communicate our need for fast internet when booking it seems that this was not adequately understood by the manager Mary Callan.
Mary kindly refunded us the remaining nights we couldn’t stay due to this hiccup as she said she has always refunded guests during covid. She was apologetic for the upset. I'm giving Callan apartments a decent review because 1) it's central to Fremantle 2) the apartments have everything required 3) there's not much noise. The only thing I didn't like about this place was the price. It's overpriced
